Dulcidio Caldeira was born in Brazil and started his career as a copywriter in 1988. In 2000, joined AlmapBBDO. In 2005, was the most awarded copywriter of the country. In 2007, was hired by BBDO/NY, where he stayed for two years. In 2008, went back to Almap to run the creative department of the agency. In 2009, Almap was the second most awarded agency of the world at the Cannes Festival and the most awarded agency of the world according to the Big Won Report. The Big Won Report also appointed Dulcidio as one of the two most awarded Creative Directors of the world in that year. In January of 2010, he left Almap and joined ParanoidBR to direct commercials and music videos. In the  beginning of 2011, he co-created an experimental animation that became the spot "Balloons" for MTV Brazil. Directed by Dulcidio, the spot won Gold on Design, Gold on Craft and Bronze on film at the Cannes Festival 2011.
